What Makes a boiler more or less efficient?

When you break it down, there are only a few factors that increase or decrease the efficiency of any given boiler, they are:

• Run Time – the longer a boiler runs at a time, the more efficient it will be.
• Operating Temperature – the cooler the boiler vessel, the more efficient it will be.
• Combustion Temperature – the hotter the combustion temperature, the more efficient it will be.
• Flue Temperature -  the cooler the flue temperature, the more efficient it will be.

Our method is simple. We determine the demand of your system by examining your fuel records, and then we put in the correct size nozzle to make your boiler operate closer to the unique demands of your home. This results in longer run times, cooler flue temperatures, and a reduction in fuel use.
