What is included in an oil boiler optimization?

reVision heat’s Optimization Service includes:

• running a baseline efficiency test
• thoroughly cleaning your heating system
• tuning the system using efficiency analyzers
• lowering the burner firing rate
• optimizing the unit’s performance and reducing fuel consumption.
• worry-free annual maintenance agreement, which includes 24/7 emergency service
• discounts on labor and parts.

In rare circumstances, additional hourly charges may apply if boiler has been neglected or not maintained for extended periods, has rusted or frozen on parts, or is inaccessible due to excessive clutter.

How much will it save?

In most houses, boiler optimization can reduce fuel usage by 5-10%.  At today’s oil prices, reduced fuel bills will typically pay for the added cost of the optimization service in less than one heating season!  In many cases, we’ll be able to recommend other improvements with additional savings.

Can every boiler be down-fired?

We can down fire most boilers up to 25%. We are careful to measure your home’s heating demands and put a nozzle in your oil burner that will be large enough to heat your home on the coldest day of the year. We also perform baseline and post down fire efficiency testing to ensure that the flue gases are warm enough to exit the chimney before the gases condense.
